What Do I Want to Be When I Grow Up?

At some point or another you have asked yourself, “What do I want to be when I grow up?” Often that question comes up when you are a child. Although admittedly, some of us still ponder this question as adults.

Recently I saw this adorable video of a 4 year old boy trying on the job of basketball coach. His grandfather is Phil Martelli, the coach of the Saint Joseph’s University basketball team. They say that imitation is the finest form of flattery. I’d say this video proves it!

I love that someone noticed this child’s adoration of his grandpa and got him his own white board and markers to draw out plays. Now all he needs is a whistle and a ball and he could be coaching the neighborhood kids on the finer tips of basketball in no time!

The whole thing made me wonder, how can I better support the career aspirations of the little people in my life?

What Careers Did You Dream About As a Child?

We’d love to hear what jobs you considered along the way. As well as any suggestions for the tools a kid would need for that job!

I think I’ve decided to be a food tester so I can taste all the food I want. That’s a thing, right?
