You may have seen a few ‘sneak peek’ photos on twitter & facebook recently as we were pulling together DIY Christmas ornaments made from office supplies. We were using paper clips, brads, solo cups, page protectors, wooden pins and more paper clips to create ornaments for the OfficeZilla Christmas tree!
We were competing in a competition to benefit the City of Kennesaw, our hometown. While we didn’t win the competition, we had a great time putting together our ornaments and doing our best to use ONLY office supplies!
Butterfly paper clips were strung with ribbon to create “angel’ ornaments ….
We started to use map tacks for the ‘heads’ of the angels, but since the tree would be outdoors, we decided not to use the pins after all … We wouldn’t want a pin to fall out & for someone to step on a tack!
Sheet Protectors were filled with red & green copy paper, and strung together with a binder ring to create a Christmas tree skirt ….
We added brass fasteners to a styrofoam ball to create a cool tree topper …
And finally, our favorite part: We printed exclusive coupon codes onto Avery filing labels and looped them around free candy canes for all of the tree contest participants & looky-loos to take & enjoy!
Yes, if you look closely, you can see the exclusive coupon code there to save 10%! If you can’t read the code, leave a note in the comments and I’ll help you out 🙂
What do you think of our little tree?
