An American flag isn’t just for holidays anymore! Whether it’s Memorial Day, Flag Day, 4th of July, or just a Tuesday, these tips will help you figure out how to display a flag in your office in a respectful, yet still stylish, way.
How to Display a Flag in your Office
Country Living has this handy dandy info graphic with some really important information on how to correctly display a flag. Also, we’ve got a few more Do’s and Don’ts for flying the American flag. Before taking on any flag display project at your office, be sure you are following the flag-flying rules.
Standard Flag Display
If your office has an entry area or receptionist desk, you can create a lovely flag display with a pot and some small flags stuck inside. Put it next to a cup of pens and a bowl of candy for an extra-special welcoming area.
If your flag is extra large, you could hang it directly on your wall. Think of all the dings and nail holes you could cover with that bad boy!
Creative Flag Options
If you like to be creative, you could make your own flag painting. With some red and blue paint, a large paint brush, and a creative eye, you could make your own artistic interpretation of the American flag!
Spruce up your office’s wide window ledge with these flag luminaries. Red, white and blue tissue paper allows you to spice up some mason jars. Add a candle for a bit of glow, and toss in a small flag to make it even more patriotic!
Wanting a more unique patriotic display? Create an American Flag Garland! Paint the flags yourself with some painters tape and a couple cans of spray paint. Add them to a string and hang your garland along the front of a desk, or along a wall.
