Does your office cube have a bad case of the blahs? Here are 12 fun ways to decorate your cubicle!
12 Ways to Decorate Your Cubicle
Make it Pretty
If you have some empty wall space why not create an inspiration line? Hang a string across the wall and add some clothespins to hold whatever your heart fancies. Whether it’s photographs, notes, or bits of inspiring artwork your wall will bring you daily inspiration.
Create a classy photo display above your desk with a velcro photo wall. You can use clear photo frames to really let your photos shine, or add velcro to the back of some white frames for a more upscale look.
Photos don’t have to be just for the walls! After all, you spend much of the day looking down at your keyboard, so why not cover your desktop with photos as well?! Just print up your favorite instagram shots and lay a clear desk protector across the top. Switch them to match the season, your mood, or create your own version of a vision board.
If you’re not lucky enough to have windows near your cubicle try brightening your space with a lamp or two. Light just makes everything look better.
Keep it Organized
There’s nothing like a whiteboard to keep you organized, but how about a whiteboard wall filled with encouraging messages?!! Create your own wall of encouragement and see what it does for your productivity. Mine should probably say, “Log out of Facebook!”
If you have a handful of clipboards you could create this fun clipboard wall. All you need is some paint and a few nails and you have the perfect display for photos, kids artwork, or even…dare I say it…work!
If you enjoy having a daily to-do list but would rather not go through reams of paper try creating your own decorative dry erase board. Simply frame a piece of pretty fabric or paper and use dry erase markers on the glass. Your to-do list has never looked so classy!
Do you have lots of tasks and projects deadlines to keep track of? Then a paint chip calendar may be an awesome way to fill up your wall space! Frame a piece of fabric with a grid of paint chips. Then use a dry erase marker to fill in the dates and to list all the deadlines. This idea is great for keeping track of homework assignments too!
Awesome Office Supplies
If you’ve been working in a cubicle long then you probably have a few T-Pins hanging around. You can use those t-pins to create essentially a peg board for organizing your supplies. And let’s face it, what’s prettier than office supplies?
If you have a bit of desk space you could turn berry baskets into cute office supply holders. Just paint the baskets your favorite color and fill with your favorite office supplies. It’s a winning combination!
Many of us hang notes or post-its on our cubicle walls. Make those reminders smile worthy with pompom push pins! Just hot glue a few of those adorable pompoms to the tops of some basic push pins and your notes will go from drab to fab!
